We started Galvan Family Cellars in 2002, dedicating ourselves to making unique wines from unique California vineyards. Taking our philosophy a step further, Galvan Family Cellars is a more socially conscience company. All of our upcoming releases are bottled in eco-friendly packaging. In addition, 6% of our sales are used to directly support community programs in our home of San Francisco.

2010 Grenache Blanc, Paso Robles, Nicolasa

Whole cluster pressing and cool stainless steel fermentation helped create aromas of lemon, green apple and white flower. Blending of 93% Grenache Blanc and 7% Viognier gives this wine a crisp acidity and an elegant finish.
2010 Gamay Noir, Solano County Green Valley

Our Gamay Noir comes from old vines planted in 1948 on a steep southwest facing hillside, and was picked at optimal ripeness. One half of the grapes were put through the carbonic maceration method. The wine was then blended with the other half which was punched down by hand until dry. Native yeast fermentation led to gravity racking into neutral French oak barrels for 10 months. Bottled unfiltered and unfined. Deep intense purple color, with an elegant mouthfeel. Pairs well with a variety of foods.
2009 In Cahoots Red Blend, Solano County Green Valley/Napa Valley, Lovechild

2010 In Cahoots Late Harvest Dolcetto

The second wine created under the In Cahoots label, this unique dessert wine was harvested at an average of 35.4 brix, fermented with native yeasts, and aged in 100% new French oak for 10 months.
2010 Zinfandel, Howell Mountain

This beautiful, expressive Zinfandel comes from 101 year old vines high on Howell mountain at 1800 feet elevation. Aged in 500 liter puncheons for 14 months, this wine shows a stunning dark ruby color and exudes a pleasingly dusty raspberry aroma with hints of chocolate, almonds and exotic spices. Firm structure coupled with the richness of mountain fruit carry the wine to a concentrated finish.

2010 Sauvignon Blanc, Rutherford, Napa Valley

Our Sauvignon Blanc comes from the eastern side of Napa Valley, from the famed Rutherford appellation. Whole clusters were pressed into 60-gallon French oak barrels and fermented with native yeasts. This wine was sur lie aged for 8 months, giving it a creamy, elegant mouthfeel.
2009 Sangiovese, Solano County Green Valley, “DeFonte Red”

Our fruit-forward Sangiovese was fermented with native yeasts, aged in French oak barrels for 11 months, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. This wine is the perfect complement to your favorite red-sauced pasta dish or pizza.
2008 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

Our Cabernet Sauvignon is comprised of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 3% Malbec, and 3% Petit Verdot. Cold soaked for five days and pumped over three times per day over 20 days of fermentation, with native yeast. 25% pressed into new French oak, 75% into neutral French oak, and aged for 16 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Minimal amounts of sulfites were used, to give the wine a quickly approachable mouthfeel and soft tannins. ~ Gold Medal, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
2009 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

Low-yielding vines, hand-picked at optimal ripeness. and gentle handling in the cellar helped create this wonderfully balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. Fermented with native yeasts, gravity racked, and bottled unfined and unfiltered, this wine is a beautiful expression of the well-tended Napa Valley fruit in its purest form.
2009 Red Blend, 66% Zinfandel/20% Syrah/14% Petite Sirah, Solano County Green Valley, Viejo

“Viejo,” Spanish for old and ancient, is my mom’s teasing nickname for my father. much like my father, this approachable wine has a long rich history, coming from dry farmed hearty vines planted in 1938 from the Wirth Ranch of Solano County Green Valley. Fermented with native yeasts and aged 15 months in 500 liter French oak puncheons, Viejo is a fruit forward and dynamic expression of its terroir.
